Instead of having arbritary maximum concurrent user limits, X7 Chat LE implements a flexible user-hours system. To calculate user-hours you simply multiple the number of people in chat by the length of time they spend chatting. Here are some examples:
5 users for 5 hours:    5 users * 5 hours = 25 user-hours
25 users for 1 hour:    25 users * 1 hour = 25 user-hours
6 users chat for 30 minutes, then 2 users leave and the remaining 4 users chat for 30 more minutes:    4 users * 1 hour + 2 users * 1/2 hour = 5 user-hours

  • Unlike chatrooms written in Java or Flash, X7 Chat LE does not require any browser plugins to run. This results in a faster, less resource intensive chatroom. Users may opt to enable audio notifications of new messages which requires the Flash plugin.

  • All of our packages come with a variety of premade themes. The Advanced and Professional packages take X7 Chat LE's powerful theme system one step furthur by allowing you to create your own themes. The theme editor allows for full customization of the chatroom colors, images and page HTML.

  • In-Chat Admin Controls
  • X7 Chat LE allows administrators to kick, ban, mute and view the IP address of users in the chatroom.
  • User Group Control
  • X7 Chat LE allows administrators to create and manage custom user groups. Administrators can assign specific permissions and users to different user groups as well as give each group a unique icon to display next to the names of members of that group on the online list.
  • Room History
  • When a user enters the chatroom they will be shown recent messages sent to the chatroom. This assists users who are entering in the middle of a chat session.
  • Room Transcripts
  • If the administrator permits it, a transcript of previous conversations will be made available to chatroom users. This allows them to go back and read previous conversations that have taken place.
  • Word Filter
  • The word filter allows you to specify words and phrases which should be filtered from messages.

  • X7 Chat LE allows users to customize their outgoing message font, color and size to fit their personal tastes. Additionally, any user may choose to disable incoming message styles and apply their own style choices to all incoming messages.
